Be carefull what you ask for.

27Dec 04

Wow did we ever get the snow, complete whiteout, not a sole on the street.
Bobby was by with the plow earlier, he and I were all over town cops and tow trucks were all we saw. Better park that thing was the advice given by officer Stead; Bobby assured him we were not going far.
Bobby has to clean all this up once the snow stops, and try and get the job done before most of us wake up. Not an easy job, Bobby’s tough he will overcome.
Me, I think I will curl up with a box of candy, cup of tea and a good movie.
That’s what you do when you live alone the rest of you are liars.

The end is near

26 Dec 04
10:15 AM

James called, wants me to meet him at Cora’s for a bite of breakfast.
He just got up, me, I’m on my second cop of coffee and the third load of laundry.
James, Bobby and Laura lee came over last night, Christmas toys for little boys. Bobby has a new toy, battery operated v-rod, goes like hell! Check out the new stuff on V rods only.
Brunch at1:00 pm with the family at the Delta, food, food, food! None of my Christmas clothes will fit after this. My brother in law and I eat too much and then fall over in a deep sleep, like the bears, this year I try and control myself.
Boomer guess what? They say we will finally get some snow tonight. It’s a shame it didn’t come on Christmas Eve. Oh well! I know you did your best, next year brother, next year. I think I speak for all of us when I say thanks for the weather, the humor and your humanity; you are definitely an island treasure.
Well it’s time! Im due a weigh in at the Delta in 15 minutes, this year if you increase your weight by 12 lbs you eat for free; I’m going to go for it.
I’ll be back to you after dessert or after the hibernation period whatever comes first.
Merry Christmas one and all

Ho! Ho! Ho!

Dec 25-04
All is well
New hat, pants, socks and underwear, if I am killed in an accident on the way home I’m going out looking good.
Funny how new clothes make you feel different, do you feel different in new clothes? I think it’s a universal thing.
Went to midnight mass with my daughter and my x, only fell asleep twice. Got up around ten this morning and went to Paula’s (my x) coffee a cinnamon raisin bagel and open the gifts. Dinner at my sister in laws (Mur and Jim) I have about an hour before I have to be there so thought I would take this time to blog.
Merry Christmas to all of you out there in Beaterville, hope Santa was good to everyone and remember the most important thing in life, treat everyone the way you would like to be treated, Merry Christmas.

I know I’m rambling, somebody stop me-please!
Lets hope tomorrow will feel a little more like Christmas, Boomer give us some of that white stuff.

who me worry

Day - 20 Dec 04
No! I have not started my Christmas shopping yet.
Today isn’t the 24th is it?
Lots of time left before I have to panic, not nearly time to freak out yet .two more days then I PANIC!
OK! OK!
Why do I always wait until the last minute, I’ll spend the next two days thinking of what to give then I will freak out when I can't find it.
Then again I may surprise myself and ask my X wife to do the shopping for me.
Wow why didn’t I think of this before?
True beaterism is a beautiful thing; hope all you beater boys learned something here today, I know I did.
Delegate the responsibility then if it doesn’t get done it’s not your fault.
Scott, Bill this goes in the beater boy handbook.
I leave you with this; it’s the thought that counts.

Rhode Island Joe arrived, still in limbo, sent me a merry Miscouchmess card?
Brother Mat and Brother James safe on the couch in the fish house, .Reruns of old hockey games.
Dave is still in Bermuda.
Keith is in MODE and wants to know, where did the mode blog go?
Red Bob has the night off. Bobby asks “wharz my name in lights, and who is this Joe Murphy anyhow?
Scott I have not seen but am told has been sighted in the company of one Colleen Kelly We have our people checking on the authenticity of this report as we speak.
Sheena stopped in; we danced on the bar, no Chinese food from Johns. Great place to eat, just around the corner The China Garden I’ve been in the kitchen, immaculate.
No! I do not work for John. I am the bar tender at Brennan’s on Victoria Roe around the corner, Kier is my name. Brennan’s is the local hangout of the beater boys. Speaking of work I had better do some, all for now
